Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Software Project Manager managing software development projects Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience leading Agile software projects and facilitating Agile ceremonies Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence Experience managing custom-built software solutions rather than packaged or off-the-shelf products Ability to effectively communicate project status, risks, and timelines to leadership and stakeholders Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project ownership skills Proven ability to lead cross-functional software development teams

Job Description: A client of Insight Global is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical software initiatives supporting Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS). This individual will be responsible for managing software development projects within a custom-built application environment, ensuring alignment between business objectives, operational needs, and technical delivery.
The Software Project Manager will provide end-to-end ownership of project execution, including sprint planning, team coordination, stakeholder communication, forecasting, and overall project governance. This role will partner closely with development teams, QA resources, business stakeholders, and leadership to successfully deliver software solutions within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of software development processes, and experience managing custom software applications rather than off-the-shelf solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Own and drive software project execution from planning through delivery Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives Define project priorities, milestones, and commitments with development teams Communicate project status, risks, timelines, and progress to leadership Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives Manage project forecasting, resource planning, and budget considerations Understand operational impacts of software changes and enhancements Help evaluate and prioritize bugs, enhancements, and change requests Foster accountability and maintain momentum across project teams
Compensation: $58/hr to $62/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.
