This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing administrative support to store operations while assisting with various office functions.
The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in building customer relationships and supports the operational excellence that drives Ashley's retail success. What You’ll Do * Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers in a warm, professional manner representing Ashley's brand image.
Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions including in-person, phone, and email communications. * Sales Order Support: Assist with processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is complete, and proper approvals are obtained before finalizing transactions. * Customer Account Management: Process customer credit applications, assist with financing arrangements, and maintain accurate customer account information in retail management systems. * Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Follow established cash handling procedures, process payments accurately, and reconcile transactions according to company policies under Office Manager supervision. * Customer Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues to Management as appropriate while following up to ensure resolution. * Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support Management with operational audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks by gathering required documentation and verifying accuracy of paperwork. * Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare routine reports, and ensure all sales and office paperwork is properly completed and filed according to company standards. * Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with sales team, merchandising personnel, and other store associates to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient store operations. * Technology & Systems: Utilize point-of-sale systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools to perform job duties efficiently and accurately. * Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management What You Bring * Legally authorized to work in the US. * At least 18 years old * High school diploma or equivalent * Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions * 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience, preferred * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; including rotation for store opening and closing responsibilities – various shifts * Maintain reliable attendance * Thrive in a team environment What’s In It for You: When you join us, you are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits programs, which include: * Extended health, dental benefits, and vision insurance * Employee Discount from 10% - 30% * Life/Disability Insurance * Flex Spending Account * 401K * Paid Time off Compensation: This position pays an hourly rate of $18.00 - $22.00.
