Desired Previous Job Experience * Store Management * Retail Meat Department Manager * Bachelor's degree Minimum Position Qualifications: * Computer skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint * Strong leadership skills * Ability to take on tasks outside of their expertise. * Strong oral defense skills * Strong writing skills * Ability to achieve objectives through others Essential Job Functions: * Overall responsibility for the execution of the receiving inspection in the meat warehouse. * Work with meat merchandising, deli merchandising and meat procurement to enforce quality specifications covering all incoming products, performingyield tests and filing product claims when necessary. * Insure that the meat or deli merchandiser is involved in the disposition of suspect product, and that they are aware of the problem areas having anadverse affect on quality. * Coordinate and communicate activities surrounding the proper handling of product under recall or withdrawal notices. * Provide meat procurement with information related to quality levels of incoming products. * Organize and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record keeping system. * Insure weight control by taking product weight checks. * Provide the Accounting Department information concerning bill backs to insure that proper deductions are made when appropriate. * Maintain sanitation and bacteriological controls to insure maximum food safety. * Both day and night operations are to be conducted to insure that predetermined quality levels and procedures are maintained through the totaldistribution function. * Provide surveillance information to Meat Merchandising and Deli Merchandising to insure that proper rotation is maintained and product is shipped withminimum store-level shelf life. * Monitor the accuracy of quality-related distribution center equipment to include scales and thermometers. * Be aware of proper handling procedures for various products to insure maximum shelf life. * Assist distribution center management in monitoring daily receiving procedures, handling, and slotting of product; notify perishable warehouse managerof any associates that need further training. * Focus on shrink management in the distribution center. * Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
