Infrastructure Manager
This position involves managing and maintaining critical infrastructure environments. The role requires overseeing physical facilities, telecommunications equipment, and power systems to ensure operational readiness, reliability, and security. The candidate will work on-site at a designated location in the Los Angeles, CA area and support multiple regional sites with occasional travel.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize physical facilities including generators, HVAC systems, racks, cabling, and site security to ensure high system uptime.
- Oversee vendor escort procedures and monitor non-badged personnel and contractors to safeguard sensitive infrastructure and restricted areas.
- Lead the installation, testing, and ongoing maintenance of telecommunications equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling.
- Maintain and troubleshoot essential DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups supporting mission-critical operations.
- Ensure compliance of technical designs and contractor work with safety and regulatory standards.
- Review and enforce physical security standards for facilities and infrastructure.
- Coordinate with security and technical teams to support site integrity and operational continuity.
- Support short- and long-term travel needs throughout the region, with expenses reimbursed.
- Assist in infrastructure upgrades and system evaluations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Comply with government suitability screening requirements and other safety protocols for working in sensitive environments.
Qualifications
- This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required.
- 8+ years of experience in facilities engineering or management, or 4+ years with a relevant bachelor's degree.
- Strong expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
- Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor compliance with standards.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.
- Background in physical security standards for facilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site at a designated location in the Los Angeles, CA area, with regional travel as needed.
- Must support physical and security standards required for critical infrastructure environments.
- Ability to pass required government suitability and security screening processes.
Publishing Pay Range: $52.00 $57.00 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
