As a Budget Analyst, you will perform the following duties:
Perform basic budget planning, analysis and execution in a developmental capacity. Perform administrative and analytical activities associated with analyzing year-end closeouts and executing budgets to support organization resource requirements.
Assist senior staff with budget funding control and revising estimates. Monitor transfers for both incoming and outgoing funds.
Utilize automated systems to maintain, track, and evaluate data, and draft presentations or data visuals for management officials.
This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). This system replaced the Federal GS pay plan and structure. Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band. The ZA-2 is equivalent to the GS-07/09. If selected for non-competitive conversion to a permanent or term position, this position has promotion potential to the ZA-3, which is equivalent to the GS-11/12.
