Position Information Classification Title Materials Handler I FLSA Non-Exempt FTE 1. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications -Experience working in a warehouse setting utilizing hand truck, pallet jack, maintaining inventory counts

Position Summary Performs manual and clerical duties related to receiving, inspecting, and stocking: Receives shipments and checks for accuracy against purchase orders; Stocks inventory shelves by the appropriate hospital inventory numbers; Pulls inventory for various departments within the teaching hospital; Assist in the ordering, receiving, distributing and taking inventory of compressed gases for the hospital. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Basic computer and arithmetic skills.
  • Skills in operating automotive, materials handling, and office equipment.
  • Detail-oriented, observant, and safety conscious.

Physical Demands

  • Lift, and carry up to pounds.
  • Sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day on hard floor surfaces.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to accurately work with small, delicate pieces of equipment or large heavy objects/containers/machinery.
  • Work for long periods of time with arms extended.
  • Driving to perform job related duties.
