Job Title
The role involves providing technical and administrative supervision to subordinate supervisors and staff, including evaluating performance, assigning work, identifying training needs, and improving the quality and efficiency of investigative operations.
It also includes overseeing investigations of employment discrimination complaints, ensuring legal sufficiency, proper application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws, investigative accuracy, and compliance with established policy and precedent.
The position requires ensuring appropriate negotiation and review of settlements and conciliation agreements, overseeing compliance activities, and coordinating referrals to the legal division for noncompliance proceedings.
Additionally, it involves participating on the District Office Management Review Team, developing investigative strategies for complex, sensitive, or systemic investigations, including Commissioner Charges.
The role also entails representing the District externally when engaging with the public, employers, advocacy groups, and government agencies to communicate EEOC policies, programs, and enforcement activities.
Finally, it includes collaborating with the District Director to develop procedures, improve operational effectiveness, support agency goals, and may serve as the Acting Deputy District Director, as assigned.
