JT4, LLC Engineering and Technical Support

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. We develop and maintain realistic integrated test and training environments, and prepare our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.

Job Summary

The Tool Room Monitor is responsible for the control and management of all tools and equipment that are used for aircraft/aerospace equipment maintenance, or which enter the flightline or aerospace equipment maintenance industrial areas per Air Force policy. These are FOD critical areas and the positive accounting of this equipment is paramount to the safety and viability of Air Force personnel, aircraft and equipment.

Functions - Duties

• Track, maintain, and inventory all tools and equipment utilized by the local squadron
• Establish and maintain Consolidated Tool Kits (CTK) as needed, as well as Locally Manufactured Tools
• Maintain Mobile Telemetry carts, performing minor repairs and coordinating larger inspections of carriage equipment
• Serve as the Vehicle Control Officer (VCO) for the local fleet of vehicles. Perform inspections and minor vehicle maintenance. Coordinate for regular vehicle maintenance per manufacture maintenance schedule. Ensure all vehicles comply with Air Force FOD and QA rules and regulations
• Order parts and equipment as needed to maintain tool inventory. Assist with overflow orders from Logistics section
• Provide support as the building maintenance POC, coordinating with Facilities personnel to resolve identified issues with the squadron facility
• Coordinate with Engineers, Technicians, and Project Leads to provide appropriate support and training
• Perform other job-related duties, as required

Experience

• Familiarity with AFI 21-101 and Air Force Tool Room procedures
• Familiarity with hand tools and basic vehicle maintenance
• Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs, to include Microsoft products, such as Outlook, Word and Excel

Requirements

Incumbent must possess four years of experience in a logistics support environment with emphasis on storage, property management, cataloging and protection of property.

In addition, a Supply Technician must possess the following qualifications:

• Must possess computerized inventory control experience
• Must have sufficient communication skills to coordinate and respond to requests for services within the facility
• Must possess a valid, state issued driver's license
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen

Salary

The expected pay range for this position is $73,000 to $83,000 annually

Working Conditions

This position involves work typical of office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (anything heavier requires two or more people or mechanical assistance). Outdoor duties required occasionally, with exposure to natural weather. Government vehicle is used on an as needed basis. Grease or oil may be found on working surfaces. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. This position may require travel.

Under no circumstances should employees use another employee's equipment without permission from their immediate supervisor or manager. Conversely, employees should not allow other JT4 employees or employees of another employer to use JT4 owned or assigned equipment without proof of training and approval of the shop manage.

Some jobs may require a candidate to be eligible for a government security clearance, state-issued driver's license, or other licenses/certifications, and the inability to obtain and maintain the required clearance, license, or certification may affect an employee's ability to maintain employment.
