ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD.

At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them.

AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward.

THE ROLE

AMD is seeking an experienced Senior Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to lead customer quality engagements for strategic Data Center, Networking and AI Infrastructure, customers. This role will support AMD's expanding portfolio of networking solutions, including DPUs, SmartNICs, AI-NICs, high-speed Ethernet adapters, and related networking technologies serving hyperscale, cloud, enterprise, and AI infrastructure customers. The CQE serves as the primary quality interface between AMD and key customers, driving customer satisfaction, field quality improvement, issue resolution, and quality leadership throughout the product lifecycle.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, sales, field application engineering, product line quality, operations, design, reliability, and manufacturing teams to drive rapid issue resolution and continuous quality improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role serves as the primary customer quality lead for strategic customers, driving customer satisfaction, quality performance, and issue resolution across the product lifecycle. The position owns customer quality scorecards, leads critical escalations and root-cause investigations, and partners with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reliability, and field performance. Responsibilities include supporting new product introductions, providing technical guidance on customer issues and failure analysis, leading customer audits and executive reviews, and acting as the voice of the customer within AMD. Through data-driven insights, process improvements, and collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, this role drives continuous improvement and operational excellence while strengthening customer relationships and business outcomes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in semiconductor, electronics, server, networking, or data center industries.
  • Experience in Customer Quality Engineering, Product Quality, Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, or Technical Customer Support.
  • Proven experience supporting hyperscale cloud customers, OEMs, ODMs, or large enterprise accounts.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, qualification, reliability, packaging, and test operations.
  • Experience managing customer scorecards, DPPM targets, field quality performance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience leading customer escalations, executive communications, and cross-functional problem-solving efforts.
  • Familiarity with structured quality methodologies including 8D, RCA, FMEA, and Six Sigma.
  • Experience with server platforms, x86 processors, AI accelerators, networking products, Ethernet adapters, SmartNICs, DPUs, AI-NICs, or high-performance data center infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting networking products, PCIe cards, NICs, SmartNICs, DPUs, AI cluster interconnects, storage networking, or hyperscale/cloud networking deployments is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
