About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of vehicle assembly equipment across our manufacturing operations.

Reporting to the Equipment and Maintenance Manager, this role will help develop preventative maintenance standards, troubleshoot equipment issues, support production, and implement solutions that minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. The ideal candidate has strong electrical and mechanical knowledge, experience with industrial or automotive equipment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of preventative maintenance procedures and equipment standards under the direction of the Equipment and Maintenance Manager.
• Work with equipment vendors to perform major maintenance procedures.
• Perform or coordinate maintenance activities for vehicle assembly equipment.
• Respond to equipment alarms, production support requests, and downtime events.
• Troubleshoot equipment and quality-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement solutions to recurring or anticipated equipment problems.
• Order tools, spare parts, and supplies for the maintenance of existing and future equipment.
• Train production employees on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
• Document equipment changes, modifications, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Support multiple local operations sites, including Hayward and Fremont.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of experience working with industrial automation, automotive shop equipment, automotive or aerospace assembly equipment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong electrical knowledge, including systems ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
• Basic knowledge of robotics, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, vehicle lifts, and DC tooling.
• Good computer skills and the ability to maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D prints, drawings, and schematics.
• Experience with CMMS software; SAP experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Desire to work with a small, flexible team of engineers and technicians.
• Willingness and ability to support both the Hayward and Fremont locations as needed.
