Services Coordinator

The Services Coordinator is a key on-site team member responsible for supporting residents in achieving stability, wellbeing, and personal goals. This role builds trusting relationships with residents, connects them to internal and external resources, and facilitates programs that strengthen community engagement and support.

The Services Coordinator is the primary point of contact for residents seeking assistance and plays a central role in identifying needs, coordinating resource referrals, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment to help meet their needs. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural humility, and the ability to work collaboratively with residents, property operations, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

Site Operations & Community Building

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee site-based programming, including monthly food access programs and site-specific events.
  • Prioritize weekly resident retention support opportunities including resource referrals for budgeting, employment, education, benefits, and rental assistance.
  • Supervise volunteers, instructors, and program partners onsite as needed.
  • Support residents in maintaining housing, accessing benefits resources, and navigating systems while balancing community safety and standards.

Partnership & Resource Development

  • Maintain relationships with local service providers, nonprofits, government agencies, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate partner schedules, space usage, and communication for on-site programming.
  • Identify new partnership opportunities to expand available resources for residents.

Data, Documentation & Compliance

  • Weekly documentation of Case Notes, Services Provided, compliance demands, and payment plans.
  • Tracking program participation, outcomes, and resident needs to support reporting and evaluation.
  • Monthly documentation of monetary demands and follow-ups.
  • Monthly data entry of resident move-ins and -outs.
  • Monthly Budget Variance reports to Accounting within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Monthly Delinquency notes by site.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including expense reports, budget tracking, and budget adherence.
  • Conduct crisis and risk assessments, coordinating with property operations and managers to ensure safety and appropriate intervention.
  • Track grant reporting, audits, and compliance requirements in partnership with the Strategy Manager.
  • Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all privacy and ethical standards.
  • Adhere to approved schedule and time entry requirements for time tracking.
  • Maintain consistent documentation of daily and weekly schedules via Google Calendar.
  • Create monthly resident calendars in Canva and distribute across properties.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Support peer Services Coordinators at other locations as needed for coverage and event support.
  • Communicate regularly with the Regional Services Manager regarding trends, needs, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with Property Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Management to support stable, safe, and supportive communities.
  • Participate in cross-functional weekly team meetings to address resident needs, coordinate services, and support community wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with Development and Communications teams to support storytelling, fundraising, and donor engagement related to resident services.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support team objectives and organizational needs.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and move throughout multi-story affordable housing communities for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to navigate multi-story properties as needed.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and sitting.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel between multiple properties and food banks in the Denver Metro Area.

Safety & Environment

  • Occasional exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, during evictions.
  • Required use of PPE when conditions warrant.
  • Ability to identify and report safety hazards
  • This role may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be physically or mentally ill, using alcohol and drugs, and who may not be attentive to basic personal hygiene, health and safety practices. It may be occasionally necessary to develop action plans quickly and effectively in response to various situations, including crisis situations and potentially hostile situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and will require frequent movement across the property site, including to individual units, community rooms, outdoor areas, and an office.

  • Compensation Range: The salary range for this position begins at $24.00 - $27.00 hourly.
  • Determining Factors: Final compensation is based on experience, education, skills, internal equity, and organizational budget.
  • Career Progression: This position is part of the Property Operations job family. Potential career paths include other leadership roles depending on organizational needs and performance.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Industry certifications strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in supportive services, case management, community development, or related fields
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing trauma, homelessness, or systemic barriers.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, and drive performance.
  • Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
