Tech Pro - Director of Operations - Student Services & Retention

Extended Campus is seeking a contracted Director of Operations Student Services & Retention to provide operational leadership and continuity for Extended Campus degree and certificate programs, including online and off-campus programs and extension center operations. The position provides leadership for student services, retention, enrollment, program operations, scheduling, communications, and customer service while working closely with academic and administrative partners across the University.

This is a part-time, temporary position that will last nine (9) months.

Key Responsibilities

-Provide leadership and oversight for student services, retention, and student outreach activities supporting Extended Campus students throughout their academic journey.

-Lead and support staff responsible for student services, persistence, program operations, scheduling, recruitment, and related activities.

-Oversee day-to-day operations for Extended Campus programs and extension centers, including coordination of facilities, technology, scheduling, and program delivery.

-Collaborate with deans, department chairs, faculty, and University leaders to support program development, course delivery, student success, and continuous improvement.

-Monitor enrollment, student satisfaction, program outcomes, and operational metrics and recommend strategies for improvement.

-Provide fiscal and operational oversight, including budget planning, expenditures, revenue projections, program financial models, and maintaining financially sustainable programs.

-Support the development of new, self-sustaining, and revenue-generating programs in collaboration with academic units and external partners.

-Provide leadership for Extended Campus admission, registration, communication, and CRM processes.

-Ensure compliance with University policies and academic standards related to curriculum, faculty credentials, admissions, registration, and program delivery.

-Represent Extended Campus in meetings and activities with internal and external partners as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

-Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-Demonstrated experience in higher education, continuing education, student services, academic operations, or a related environment.

-Demonstrated experience supervising staff and managing complex operational responsibilities.

-Strong knowledge of higher education policies, procedures, and academic operations.

-Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with academic, administrative, and external partners.

-Experience with financial/budget management and data-informed decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience working directly with Extended Campus, online education, continuing education, or off-campus academic programs.

-Familiarity with University of Northern Colorado policies, procedures, systems, academic programs, and organizational structures.

-Experience supporting program development, enrollment growth, student retention, and financially sustainable academic programs.

-Experience with student information systems, CRM platforms, and related enrollment technologies.
