Robotics Software Engineer - Orlando

Salary: $100,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• We require at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• We need strong proficiency in C#.
• We expect prior hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, .NET standards, and dependency injection.
• Familiarity with additional languages such as C++ and Python is valued.
• Experience with MVVM and WPF is required.
• Experience using development tools such as Visual Studio and Git is expected.
• Knowledge of linear algebra and trigonometry is needed; statistics is preferred.
• Experience with robots, such as Fanuc arms or similar systems, is desired.
• Preferred background includes motion/robotic control systems, image processing such as OpenCV, PLCs, and CAD/CAM software.
• Experience building libraries that communicate with external devices and sensors is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• We develop rapid prototypes and carry out feasibility studies.
• We test application development work across our software solutions.
• We create graphical user interfaces using WPF and the MVVM design pattern.
• We build software centered on Fanuc robot communications.
• We develop libraries that interface with external devices and sensors such as cameras, laser profilometers, ultrasonic probes, PLCs, motor control systems, and digital I/O boxes.
• We work with, or build, tools for offline robotic arm path planning and collision avoidance.
• We apply stereo vision image processing and laser profilometry to locate objects in 3D space.
• We create processes for calibrating the location of tools and objects within a robotic cell.
• We evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of sensors and algorithms for specific tasks, including object location and robot motion prediction.
