Job description

Platform Architect Google Cloud
Location: Remote USA
Travel: Onsite to Norfolk, VA approximately 1 2 times during the entire project
Duration: 1+ Year
Interview: Video

  • Must meet eligibility requirements for U.S. Government Security Clearance (they do not need to currently hold one)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Architect Google Cloud to lead the architecture and technical design of an AI-enabled workforce readiness platform for a defense manufacturing environment.

The platform will modernize manual, paper-based shop-floor operations through AI-generated work instructions, intelligent technician assignment, real-time quality/compliance visibility, analytics, and AI agents.

The engagement includes development of a secure FedRAMP High / IL4-compliant Google Cloud environment and an AI-enabled platform spanning manufacturing data integration, data connectors, Looker analytics, and workforce enablement.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 8+ years of solution/platform architecture experience
  • Experience architecting AI-enabled enterprise platforms
  • Strong API design experience for multi-persona, role-based platforms
  • Strong RBAC/IAM architecture experience
  • Experience mapping security/access controls to frameworks such as FedRAMP High / IL4
  • Experience defining or implementing KPI/measurement frameworks tied to business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as end-to-end technical authority across complex platform builds
  • US-person status consistent with CUI and FedRAMP High/IL4 requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government Security Clearance; current clearance is not required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RAG-based or agentic AI architectures
  • Google Cloud architecture certification, such as Professional Cloud Architect
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or DoD-adjacent experience
  • Experience architecting platforms designed for reuse across multiple clients
