Gestational Surrogate – Become a Surrogate Mother
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Job Type: Contract
Capital Surrogacy is looking for women who want to become gestational surrogates — also simply called surrogates or gestational carriers.
Please read the requirements before applying. We can only move forward with applicants who meet them. Your time is valuable and we don't want to waste any time.
To be considered, you must:
- Be a woman between the ages of 21 and 40
- Have given birth to at least one child — full-term, healthy, and without complications
- Currently be parenting that child, with custody
- Have had no more than 3 c-sections
- Have a BMI no higher than 32
- Be a non-smoker, with no use of tobacco or marijuana (you'll also be asked about vaping during screening)
- Have no history of drug or alcohol abuse
- Have no criminal history, including anyone else living in your household
- Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
- Have a stable household income
- Have reliable transportation and be willing to travel
- Have a strong support system at home
Health insurance with maternity coverage is helpful but not required.
If you don't meet these, you are not eligible at this time.
What the journey actually involves
Being a surrogate means carrying a pregnancy for parents who can't carry one themselves. It averages about 14 months from matching through delivery, and it asks for your time, medical appointments, travel, and emotional energy.
Most of the women we work with come to us for similar reasons. Their own family feels complete. They had healthy pregnancies they genuinely enjoyed. And they want to turn that into something meaningful for another family while taking care of their own — paying off debt, starting a college fund, putting money down on a house.
Compensation
Total compensation ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 depending on your circumstances, including whether your own health insurance is surrogacy friendly, whether you've been a surrogate before, and whether you are interested in carrying more than one baby. The package includes:
- Base compensation
- A $2,000 sign-on bonus
- A monthly allowance throughout the journey
- Reimbursements for embryo transfer, maternity clothing, and c-section delivery
- $5,000 or more in additional compensation for experienced surrogates
- $10,000 for each additional baby if you carry multiples
- Health insurance, life insurance, childcare, housekeeping, and travel expenses covered
