Registered Nurse - Trauma Surgical ICU Job Description Job Title Registered Nurse - Trauma Surgical ICU Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team in Cleveland, Ohio. This vital role involves providing specialized critical care to a diverse patient population recovering from complex surgical procedures and traumatic injuries. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive clinical management of critically ill surgical and trauma patients, utilizing advanced nursing skills and critical thinking to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive clinical care to Surgical and Trauma ICU patients. Required Qualifications Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of recent experience in a Trauma or Surgical ICU setting. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically Epic. Experience with automated medication dispensing systems (e.g., Pyxis). Familiarity with hospital communication systems (e.g., Vocera). Competency in professional communication tools (e.g., Outlook). Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage complex patient cases and rapidly changing conditions.
