Overview:

The Worship Coordinator serves as a primary catalyst in this mission, leading worship that invites people into the presence of God for services and special events, as well as developing talent and overseeing audio and production.

The ideal candidate deeply loves the local church and brings energy, excellence, and spiritual leadership to the people they serve. They possess exceptional vocal ability and a natural command of the stage, paired with both the flexibility to flow spontaneously in worship and the spiritual discernment to know when to lean in or step back. They can lead a team of talented musicians, vocalists, and technical staff to ensure a seamless and inspiring worship experience during services and special events.

What You Will Do:

• Create meaningful service experiences by preparing environments and leading the church in worship
• Support the Location Pastor in building a life-giving, vibrant culture at The Life Church - New York
• Coordinate service elements with Audio, Production and Design Teams
• Direct the Worship volunteer teams, including recruitment, spiritual growth, development and care
• Identify and raise up worship leaders, vocalists, musicians, and audio technicians
• Empower volunteers to help lead the ministry beyond just service settings
• Partner with the Director of Worship to plan and execute a variety of projects as needed
• Own the details of rostering, tracking volunteer health, equipment maintenance and budget management
• Bring excellence, ownership and cleanliness to all worship spaces and equipment

• Ability to lead dynamic worship on stage with skill, creativity and excellence

• Comfort with digital tools and willingness to learn and use new systems
• Discernment to assess, teach and coach a worship team
• Flexible availability including weekend services, office hours, evening rehearsals and special events
• Insight to identify and correct things that are opposite of the culture in an honest and life-giving way
• Passion to help people grow personally and spiritually
• Proven track record of leadership, recruitment and organizational development preferably in a ministry, team, or service-based environment
