Database Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises and Azure cloud environments, including Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Ensure database availability, performance, security, and data integrity for mission-critical enterprise systems.
• Support backup, recovery, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies to protect organizational data and minimize system downtime.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database and data management issues across internally managed and vendor-hosted applications.
• Manage data integration across Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory, as well as third-party platforms.
• Develop and maintain reports, stored procedures, views, and other database objects supporting business operations and system integrations.
• Partner with reporting, analytics, and data governance teams to support enterprise reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
• Support Power BI datasets, data models, and semantic layers.
• Implement and maintain database security controls, including role-based access, encryption, and auditing.
• Coordinate database patches, upgrades, and maintenance activities while minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture, standards, naming conventions, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with application owners, developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors on database design, system implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
• Design and maintain ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance, availability, and integration issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and provide occasional after-hours support for maintenance or production incidents.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of experience administering relational database systems in a production environment.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server in both on-premises and Azure environments.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and/or Azure SQL Managed Instance, including configuration, administration, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data services such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience integrating and administering data across enterprise applications and third-party or cloud-hosted platforms.
• Strong knowledge of relational database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
• Proficiency with T-SQL.
• Knowledge of database security, access controls, encryption, and auditing.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PowerShell scripting and database administration automation.
• Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting and analytics environments, including Power BI.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience supporting databases and integrations across ERP, CRM, or other enterprise business applications.
• Experience developing database architecture, standards, and operational documentation.
• Experience working with application development, infrastructure, information security, and data governance teams.
