Structural Engineer

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Structural Engineer

Position type: Full Time - Contract
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid)

As a Structural Engineer, you will:

• Design the structural components of residential wood structures (and masonry structures in FL), produce repair details and letters with minimal to no supervision.
• Seal structural plans, details, and repairs as needed.
  Collaborate with architectural staff and other departments (i.e. TIS, Purchasing, Operations, etc.).
• Engineering calculations
• Prepare repair details/letters
• Coordinate structural plans with truss layouts
• Site visits/Meeting with building officials
• Code Research
• Advanced knowledge of residential wood (CMU in FL) design and construction
• Able to work with other engineers, architectural staff and Operations
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Creative problem solving
• Strong work ethic
• Maintain PE license
  

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• PE License
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering
• Min. 4 years of engineering experience
• Residential wood, concrete, and CMU design and construction
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials and applicable building codes and design principles
• Ability to perform tasks with minimal or no supervision
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualification:

• Good communication skills
• PE License - FL
• Ability to follow established procedures

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $50 - $60 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
