Software Engineer

Full stack development

Knowledgeable about AI

US Citizen only

Clearance not required

2-3 years' experience minimum, new grads/Interns do not submit

100% coding from day one onsite in a fast pace, face to face environment

Constantly changing / evolving work

Regulated industry experience is preferred but not required

30-minute screening interview followed by a 1-hour onsite interview

Startup company / project development experience is ideal

- AI/MI/GenAI - minimum 2 years of experience

- Python - 3+ years of experience

TITLE: Generative AI Software Developer/Engineer Aerospace Technologies Development Sandbox (on-site)

This position is for an experienced Software Engineer with either professional or personal project experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Generative AI.

The position will be part of the Applied Research and Technology (ART) Aerospace Technologies Team designing and developing the next-generation avionics systems of the future.

The ART Aerospace Technologies Development Sandbox team is chartered with defining new disruptive developmental process improvements for the Collins Aerospace business to enable faster cycle times, lower total lifecycle cost, reduce tech debt and enable greater reusability.

This position will be performed on-site in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

-Develop, design and conclude experiments to accelerate business capabilities in Generative AI for safety-critical development
