Job Title Registered Nurse - Dialysis (Chronic & Acute) Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse specializing in Dialysis for a contract assignment in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. This role is critical in providing comprehensive care to patients requiring renal replacement therapy, encompassing both chronic and acute dialysis treatments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care throughout their dialysis sessions, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment delivery within a specialized renal care environment. This includes patient assessment, treatment initiation and monitoring, and patient education. Key Responsibilities Assess patients thoroughly before, during, and after dialysis treatments. Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis treatments safely and efficiently. Administer prescribed medications and intravenous fluids during dialysis sessions. Manage and troubleshoot vascular access sites, including fistulas, grafts, and central venous catheters. Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, self-care techniques, and dietary restrictions. Monitor and respond to changes in patient vital signs and potential complications during treatment. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all aspects of patient care. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nephrologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nebraska. Minimum of 1-2 years of recent, direct experience in Dialysis (Chronic and/or Acute care settings). Expertise in vascular access management and complication resolution. Strong understanding of fluid and electrolyte balance, renal physiology, and pharmacology relevant to dialysis. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work autonomously and manage a patient caseload in a fast-paced clinical environment.
