A day on the floor as our CNC Plasma & Oxy‑Fuel Burn Table Operator
Starting pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Expect overtime opportunities; hours can shift with production demand.
What your day looks like
You clock in, review the cut list, and pull plate using an overhead crane. With blueprints in hand, you call up the program, confirm dimensions with a tape and calipers, and set up the plasma or O2/fuel torch. Before first break, parts are nested and the burn table is humming. Mid‑shift, you swap a torch head component, tweak a program parameter, and keep material moving with the forklift. By afternoon, you’re de‑burring, weighing finished parts, logging output on the computer, and pitching in with general production and welding support where needed. You finish with daily checks and leave your bay spotless and safe.
