Bench Technician
We are looking for a dedicated Bench Technician to join our team in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. If you have bench experience in a tool room or die shop and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you'll work with state-of-the-art equipment to assemble, fit, and prepare custom tools for production. This is a full-time, direct hire position where you’ll play an essential part in ensuring tools are built to specification, shipped on time, and within budget.

Hours:
• First Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (times can vary)
• Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (times can vary)
Pay:
• $27.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble various parts of custom tools, fitting parts into tools
• Review daily schedule and prioritize tasks
• Ensure availability of proper tooling, materials, and setup items
• Review tool models and Bill of Materials (BOMs) as needed
• Perform assembly and disassembly of tools
• Install and plumbing water lines, hydraulic lines, and systems
• Install electric or hydraulic systems
• Follow best practices for shop safety, organization, and cleanliness
• Operate surface grinders, bench grinders, and wire wheels for polishing parts
• Handle material movement and use shop equipment safely
• Communicate any potential conflicts or delays to management
Minimum Requirements:
• 2+ years of hands-on bench experience in a toolroom, mold, or die shop environment
• Experience with deburring, stone grinding, filing, hand-fitting, and polishing
• Strong understanding of mold and die components and functions
• Ability to read and interpret tool prints and GD&T
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge pins
• Comfortable using standard hand and shop tools safely
• Able to lift, move tooling components, and work on your feet
Nice to Have Skills:
• Experience working with water and hydraulic lines
• Ability to install electric or hydraulic systems
• Experience with spotting/bluing and fitting shutoffs/parting surfaces
• Basic skills in manual milling, lathe, or surface grinding for rework
• Support experience with mold tryouts and press troubleshooting
Preferred Education and Experience:
• Completion of a machining, tool & die, or manufacturing tech program (shop/lab experience preferred)
Other Requirements:
• Must be conscientious and persistent about meeting throughput and delivery goals
• Ability to work on-site and adhere to safety standards
