KerberRose Wealth Management is seeking a Tax & Wealth Advisor to join our growing team. This unique role combines tax preparation, tax planning, and client advisory services to help individuals, families, business owners, and retirement plan participants make informed financial decisions.

As a member of the Wealth Management team, the Tax & Wealth Advisor works closely with Financial Advisors to integrate tax strategies into clients' overall financial plans. This individual serves as a trusted resource for tax-related questions, prepares tax returns, identifies tax planning opportunities, and coordinates with KerberRose tax professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive and seamless advice.

This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys client interaction and wants to move beyond traditional tax compliance work into a more consultative role while remaining actively involved in tax preparation and planning.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Preparation & Compliance

• Prepare and/or review individual, trust, partnership, S-corporation, and corporate income tax returns.
• Coordinate the collection and review of tax documentation from clients.
• Ensure tax returns are completed accurately and in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact clients.
• Assist clients with responding to tax notices and requests from taxing authorities.

Tax Planning & Advisory

• Identify proactive tax planning opportunities for clients throughout the year.
• Prepare tax projections and scenario analyses.
• Collaborate with Wealth Management Advisors to develop tax-efficient financial planning strategies.
• Assist clients with retirement income planning from a tax perspective.
• Evaluate tax implications of investment decisions, charitable giving strategies, Roth conversions, business transactions, and retirement distributions.
• Participate in client planning meetings and provide tax-related guidance.

Wealth Management Team Collaboration

• Serve as a dedicated tax resource for the KerberRose Wealth Management team.
• Work closely with advisors to incorporate tax considerations into comprehensive financial plans.
• Support business development efforts by demonstrating the value of integrated tax and wealth management services.
• Collaborate with Client Service Associates and Advisors to deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Help educate advisors and team members regarding tax developments and planning opportunities.

Liaison to KerberRose Tax Professionals

• Act as the primary point of coordination between the Wealth Management team and KerberRose tax specialists.
• Facilitate communication and information sharing among clients, advisors, and tax professionals.
• Coordinate complex tax situations requiring specialized expertise.
• Ensure clients receive consistent and coordinated advice across all service areas.

Client Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Explain complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional client service and long-term relationship building.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Three to seven years of tax preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation.
• Experience preparing complex individual tax returns.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Preferred

• CPA designation or CPA candidate.
• Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
• Familiarity with financial planning concepts and wealth management services.
• Experience with tax planning and tax projection strategies.
• Interest in developing broader financial planning and advisory expertise.
