JOB DESCRIPTION

We're hiring a part-time Sales Development Representative to make the first call. You'll reach out to prospective clients, confirm their information, understand what coverage they currently carry, and hand off qualified conversations to our licensed producers.

You are not selling policies and you don't need a license to start. You are the front of the funnel: dials, conversations, and clean handoffs. If you do that well, everything downstream works.

Twenty or more hours a week, with a consistent schedule you and we set together. Good fit if you're building toward something a student, a parent working around school hours, or someone testing whether insurance is a career worth pursuing. No insurance experience required. We train.

Compensation $17.00 $20.00 per hour, depending on experience. At 20 hours a week that's roughly $340 to $400 weekly before bonus; more hours are available for the right person. Monthly bonus is paid on appointments held and policies issued from your handoffs. Our bonus structure is published and we'll walk you through the exact math in the interview no guessing. We'd rather show you the plan up front than promise a number you can't verify.

Location and Schedule In-office at our Blue Springs location, 807 W Main St, Suite B, Blue Springs, MO 64015. Shifts fall Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM CST. We'll build a set weekly schedule with you.

Career Path SDR is the entry point, not the ceiling. Months one through three, you learn the phone our scripts, our CRM, our products and we watch consistency more than results. Months three through six, you own your numbers: you know the objections, you're setting appointments that hold, and you're picking up the language of coverage from listening to producers work your handoffs. Beyond that, you choose a lane. Representatives who perform can move toward a Licensed Sales Producer seat, where you write business and earn commission, or a Client Service role supporting the book directly. Both are full-time, both pay meaningfully more, and we'll support the licensing when you're ready for it.

Plenty of people in this business started on exactly this kind of phone seat. This is a real on-ramp, not a dead end.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

Make outbound calls from our lead lists and existing book of business (expect 80100 dials per shift)

Verify contact and household information, and log everything accurately in our CRM

Qualify interest and set appointments or warm-transfer conversations to a licensed producer

Follow up on quotes that haven't closed and re-engage older leads

Track your own numbers dials, contacts, appointments set, appointments held

Check in with your coach weekly and apply what comes out of it

Requirement

REQUIREMENTS

Available at least 20 hours per week on a schedule you can hold to consistently

Able to work in-office in Blue Springs, MO

Comfortable on the phone and willing to make a high volume of calls

Clear speaking voice and solid written follow-up

Organized enough to keep a CRM clean without being reminded

Coachable you take feedback and apply it the same week

High school diploma or equivalent

Customer service, retail, or call center experience is helpful but not required

No insurance experience or license necessary
