  • Develop project scopes, technical specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and bid packages in collaboration with Port Engineers, vessel personnel, and key stakeholders.
  • Manage project budgets and coordinate contractors, shipyards, consultants, OEMs, vessel crews, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Prepare capital expenditure requests, business justifications, and project performance reports.

Engineering & Technical Support

  • Provide technical support and guidance to Port Engineers, vessel personnel, and shore-side teams on complex equipment and system issues.
  • Conduct root-cause investigations and develop corrective action recommendations.
  • Review engineering drawings, vendor proposals, technical manuals, and repair specifications.
  • Develop lifecycle replacement strategies for major vessel equipment and systems.

Fleet Improvement & Modernization

  • Support drydock planning, vessel modifications, equipment upgrades, and major repair projects while coordinating activities among vessel crews, Port Engineers, and external service providers.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for reliability, safety, sustainability, and efficiency improvements.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives involving the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), classification societies, and other regulatory authorities.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with vessel crews, Port Engineers, shipyards, vendors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication, alignment of project objectives, and successful project outcomes.
  • Support special assignments, emerging business needs, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Ship Management.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CMMS platforms.
