The Lead, Product Training will serve as a key member of the Alexion US Training Department, responsible for supporting and executing the product training strategy that enables commercial readiness, product knowledge, and field execution excellence. This role will contribute to the design and execution of the product training roadmap across key business priorities, with a particular focus on onboarding, new product launch readiness, ongoing product capability development, competitive preparedness, and aligned customer engagement training for Field Commercial Roles.

The Lead will work across functions to ensure that product training solutions are aligned to business priorities, brand strategy, enterprise expectations, and evolving capability needs. This individual will help translate complex product, clinical, and commercial strategies into impactful learning experiences that strengthen field effectiveness, improve confidence in customer interactions, and support strong commercial execution. The role requires a balance of strategic contribution, executional excellence, stakeholder partnership, and innovation in adult learning and digital enablement.

This individual will also play an important role in evolving the overall training function by identifying opportunities to modernize product learning approaches, integrate innovative tools and technologies, and build scalable development solutions that support both immediate business needs and long-term organizational growth. A critical aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships, particularly with Marketing teams, to ensure product training is aligned with brand strategy, messaging, campaign priorities, and market dynamics.

You will be responsible for:

Supporting product training strategy development by helping create and advance a comprehensive training roadmap aligned to Alexion US business priorities, brand strategy, organizational goals, and capability needs across Field Commercial Roles.

Designing and delivering product training programs that support onboarding, launch readiness, ongoing development, competitive preparedness, and sustained commercial capability across the product lifecycle.

Partnering closely with Marketing teams to align product training content, messaging, and learning priorities with brand objectives, campaign plans, customer strategies, and market evolution.

Developing and maintaining strong cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Regulatory, and Training teams to identify capability gaps, prioritize learning needs, and support effective training solutions.

Creating and executing high-impact learning experiences across instructor-led, virtual, self-directed, and digital formats, ensuring application of adult learning principles and a strong learner experience.

Ensuring field commercial teams are equipped with the product knowledge, brand understanding, clinical confidence, and contextual market awareness needed to engage customers confidently, credibly, and compliantly.

Supporting launch readiness and lifecycle management efforts by developing training that prepares field teams for new product launches, indication expansions, competitive changes, and updated strategic priorities.

Translating complex scientific, clinical, and commercial information into practical, engaging, and scalable learning solutions tailored to field commercial audiences.

Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, compliant, and aligned with enterprise expectations.

Ensuring alignment of training content with compliance and quality expectations, including participation in Medical/Legal/Regulatory review processes where required, so that training materials are appropriately reviewed and approved prior to deployment.

Tracking and managing training completion and attendance for required learning, including Pharmacovigilance-related training, to support audit readiness, compliance expectations, and quality standards.

Partnering with external vendors and consultants, when applicable, in the design, development, and delivery of learning materials, product training programs, and capability-building solutions.

Measuring the effectiveness of training programs through learner feedback, field input, assessments, and other relevant data, and using insights to continuously improve training impact and value.

Conducting field observations, leader engagements, or other business immersion activities, when appropriate, to better understand learner needs, strengthen relevance of content, and identify opportunities to improve capability development.

Influencing and guiding stakeholders on product learning needs, launch readiness, and capability development approaches to support effective business execution.

Contributing to the evolution of the Training Department by sharing best practices and introducing innovative approaches to product training design and delivery.

Reporting any Pharmacovigilance events discussed during training activities and ensuring compliance remains embedded in all aspects of training strategy, design, and execution.

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above-mentioned responsibilities, as reasonably required by business needs.

You will need to have:

Bachelor's degree in business, education, life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.

A minimum of 5-8 years of commercial training experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry.

Demonstrated experience supporting the development and execution of product training plans that align learning investments to business priorities and measurable capability outcomes.

Strong demonstrated experience building and maintaining cross-functional relationships, particularly with Marketing teams, to align training content and strategies with brand priorities and customer engagement goals.

Demonstrated experience supporting Field Commercial Roles with product training solutions that improve product knowledge, launch readiness, customer engagement, and field effectiveness.

Strong experience working in a cross-functional environment with stakeholders such as Commercial, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, and Training teams.

Proven ability to translate complex business, product, and clinical strategies into practical, engaging, and scalable learning solutions.

Strong ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities simultaneously while maintaining high quality, attention to detail, and strong execution discipline.

Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence audiences at multiple levels of the organization.

Experience developing training content using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, delivering virtual training through platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, and managing content in learning management systems and related platforms.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, solve problems proactively, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Experience supporting launch training, competitive readiness, product knowledge development, or commercial capability initiatives.

Strong organizational judgment and the ability to manage sensitive issues, differing perspectives, and competing priorities with professionalism and discretion.

Demonstrated openness to and ability to drive utilization, excitement, and acceptance of Artificial Intelligence and digital learning approaches in support of modern, scalable training solutions.

Experience with instructional design tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Visio, or video editing software.

Experience supporting new product launches, indication expansions, organizational transformations, or major capability-building initiatives.

Strong influencing skills with a demonstrated ability to lead or support cross-functional teams in dynamic, evolving environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong, professional relationships across all levels of the organization.

Experience incorporating data, analytics, and learner insights into training strategy and program design to improve business relevance and measurable outcomes.

Familiarity with change management principles and their application in product training, capability building, and adoption of new ways of working.
