The Project Engineer's primary responsibility is assisting the Superintendent, Project Manager and/or Area Manager through on-site supervision of the project and assisting with administrative and technical tasks that support the project. The individual will be responsible for reviewing and understanding the project plans and specifications and ensuring the project is constructed in accordance with these documents. The individual is also responsible for daily tracking of all quantities of work performed by TMS and all subcontractors working on the project, generation and submittal of RFI's, completion of daily project reports, schedule updates, identifying and tracking additional work, preparing change orders for extra work performed, and assisting with the generation of monthly invoices. The individual must have a general understanding of highway construction specifically earthwork, grading, drainage, paving, ITS, and lighting. This is primarily a field-based role; however, office work will be required to complete some tasks.
