Nurse Practitioner – MinuteClinic
Location: Macon, GA
Address: 1544 Bass Rd., Macon, GA 31210
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
Schedule: 2–4 days per week, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM
Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours/week
Training: 40 hours/week for the first 4 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Approximately 3 out of every 6 weekends, with possible holiday rotations
Position Overview
MinuteClinic is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide evidence-based primary and family healthcare to patients in a patient-facing clinical setting.
The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with a dedicated clinical care team to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patient health conditions while providing health counseling, chronic disease management, and appropriate follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities

Provide primary and family healthcare, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health counseling.

Manage acute and chronic health conditions using evidence-based practices.

Perform routine examinations, health screenings, and diagnostic testing.

Develop and coordinate comprehensive patient care plans with other healthcare professionals.

Educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices and encourage active participation in their healthcare.

Support chronic condition management, behavioral health, and wellness initiatives.

Handle patient appointments, follow-up, insurance verification, and payment collection.

Assist with clinic opening/closing procedures and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.

Work autonomously while collaborating effectively with the broader clinical care team.

Support quality measurement and performance related to chronic disease management.

Be willing to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of recent Primary Care experience as a Nurse Practitioner in family medicine, primary care, or urgent care.

Master's degree from a Family Nurse Practitioner program.

Current national board certification.

Current NP license in the state of employment.

NP license must be in good standing.

Prior primary care or urgent care experience is required.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to practice autonomously and work effectively without direct supervision.

Proficiency with information management and clinical technology.

Ability to adapt to a collaborative clinical care team environment.
Required Certifications & Documentation

BLS certification required — certification from American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

Candidates must provide a screenshot/documentation of their BLS certification and NP license.

DEA registration may be required during onboarding, depending on position requirements.

This is an in-person, patient-facing position.

All MinuteClinic positions are considered safety sensitive.

Training will be conducted at 40 hours per week for 4 weeks.

Regular schedule will be approximately 2–4 days per week, 8:30 AM–7:30 PM.

Candidates may be required to work approximately 3 out of every 6 weekends, along with possible holiday rotations.
