Surface Transportation org is expanding and introducing new capabilities to our Maintenance business that supports all Middle Mile assets (tractors, trailers, box trucks, hostlers). In this role you will deliver world-class solutions while wearing many hats and working in a highly collaborative environment that is more startup than big company. This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction/influence with teams across Amazon to drive the development of our maintenance business.
This Senior Vendor Performance Manager will be responsible for defining the vision, roadmap and driving program execution of our Maintenance business. This will be achieved through deep supply chain understanding, working backwards from customer requirements, negotiations with vendors and 3rd-party logistics providers, and internal alignment with Finance and Capital Planning stakeholders. The role involves day-to-day interaction with senior Amazon leaders as internal customers, understanding their needs and converting them into efficient business models. The role requires regular interactions with multiple teams and jointly working with them to meet both short-term and long-term business needs. This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution. Up to 25% travel for this role.
