Phlebotomist
We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist who exhibits proficiency in blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in pediatric blood collections and handling difficult draws in medical office buildings. A comprehensive understanding of compliance and safety protocols, along with the ability to communicate their importance to other employees, is essential. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of providing orientation and training for patient service personnel.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
- Conduct pediatric blood collections and handle difficult draws in various settings.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and communicate their importance to the team.
- Provide orientation and training for new patient service staff.
- Process specimens efficiently and accurately.
Essential Skills
- High School Diploma
- CPT 1 License
- 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital setting, including pediatrics, ICU, and high volume environments.
- Willingness to work inpatient settings with the flexibility to be called and work on the same day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in outpatient settings with a high volume of work (3+ years preferred).
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Work Environment
The position offers five openings and requires flexibility to work across three shifts, potentially covering split shifts at different or the same locations. Main work locations include Murietta, Moreno Valley, and Riverside, with a willingness to commute across the Riverside region. Initial training will span 2-3 months with full-time hours, primarily on the first shift. Weekend and holiday work is expected, with efforts to rotate weekends. The role involves working a minimum of 30 hours per week post-training, with potential split shifts or cancellations. The dress code requires wearing scrubs. This is a per diem/on-call position, and the candidate must be comfortable with on-call duties and flexible shift work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
