Boulder Community Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Clinical Lead, who, under direct supervision of the Sterile Processing Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing and actively participating in the receiving, processing, delivering, tracking, and rendering safe instrumentation for patient use when needed in respective departments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, certification (CBSPD or HSPA) required within one year of employment, sterile processing and distribution certification (CRCST), certified instrument specialist (CIS) certification or certification board for sterile processing and distribution (CBSPD). Must currently have or agree to obtain within one year of employment. One to two years experience working in a sterile processing department. Leadership experience preferred. OR tech experience preferred. Computer experience preferred. Inventory experience preferred.
Responsibilities include maintaining records regarding maintenance of instrumentation and equipment, operating computer for data entry, reporting damaged or malfunctioning equipment and obtaining loaner/rental instruments when requested, maintaining all surgical trays, equipment and instruments in proper working condition, assisting in orientation of new personnel, prioritizing duties in emergency and high stress situations, assisting and maintaining a clean and organized environment in sterile processing, maintaining current purchasing, inventory and receiving records on computer database, utilizing appropriate contacts, supporting and participating in quality improvement protocols and activities.
