The posted compensation range of $30.21 - $42.67 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.

As our Medical Assistant, you will ensure smooth daily operations for your patients and the medical team. You can expect to support multiple patients daily, depending on physician availability. Every day you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician-directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills. To be successful in this role, you must have an enthusiasm to help others and the ability to work efficiently and provide empathy for our patients.

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies or GED General Studies
• Technical School Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or Military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professions.)
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Preferred

• Six (6) month's experience in a cardiology setting as a Medical Assistant
