Quality Control Inspector
Required Skills & Experience: Haven't interviewed or applied to ACCO within the last 12 months. 8+ years of total Quality Control Inspection experience supporting: ASME B31 piping codes, industrial or commercial construction projects (semiconductor preferred), fabrication and welding inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT). 3+ years of Supervisor/Managerial experience in related field. Current certification in accordance with AWS QC1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), maintained in good standing. Experience inspecting specialty welding applications and plastic piping systems such as: Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), other specialty process piping materials. Come from the GC or Subcontractor side (not owner QA or 3rd party experience) Experience working on semiconductor, high-purity, or cleanroom project sites.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience inspecting carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-purity process piping systems OSHA 30, confined space, and first aid / CPR.
Job Description: Supervise two direct reports for quality control inspections. Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component. Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes. Engage with the General Contractor's Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning, project compliance, non-conformance management, quality audits. Provide project quality expectations to new inspectors. Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities, status and deadlines. Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor. Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures. Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
