Defi Solutions Configuration Analyst

Salary: $125,000 - 160,000 per year

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent professional experience may be accepted.
• 5+ years of auto finance experience, including underwriting, funding, or lending operations.
• 3+ years of hands-on configuration or system administration experience within a loan origination system (LOS), with defi SOLUTIONS experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience configuring automated underwriting, including decision rules, scorecards, auto-decision thresholds, and exception routing.
• Strong understanding of consumer lending products, credit policy, and underwriting processes.
• Demonstrated ability to write business and functional requirements, build and execute UAT test cases, and work within a formal change control process.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while managing competing priorities.
• Preferred background in underwriting or underwriting operations at a bank, credit union, captive, or finance company.
• Preferred experience with LOS implementations, conversions, or major upgrades.
• Preferred hands-on experience with credit bureau integrations, including report parsing, attribute mapping, and score model deployment.
• Preferred experience with eVault and eContracting platforms, electronic chattel paper, and print and fulfillment vendor coordination.
• Preferred working knowledge of JavaScript for rule expressions, calculated fields, and custom logic within the LOS.
• Preferred experience configuring dealer scorecards, dealer program tiers, or dealer-level pricing.
• Preferred exposure to a loan servicing platform or the origination-to-servicing boarding process.
• Preferred SQL knowledge for data validation and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• We serve as the subject matter expert for defi SOLUTIONS LOS configuration, advising internal stakeholders on capabilities, limitations, and the best path to meet business needs.
• We configure and maintain indirect auto loan products, credit programs, tier structures, rate and fee tables, advance and LTV parameters, and stipulation logic.
• We design and maintain screens, fields, user-defined fields, document templates, adverse action notices, and dealer- and applicant-facing communications.
• We administer users, roles, and permissions and perform periodic access reviews.
• We build and maintain decisioning rules, scorecards, auto-decision criteria, exception routing, and counteroffer logic.
• We validate configured credit logic against approved credit policy before release and partner with Credit on impact analysis for policy changes.
• We tune auto-decision thresholds and rule performance to improve decision speed and auto-decision rates without reducing credit quality.
• We configure workflows, queues, assignment and routing rules, and status progression across the indirect lending lifecycle.
• We identify manual touchpoints and implement configuration changes that reduce handling time and rework.
• We partner with Funding and Dealer Relations to align system workflows with dealer service commitments.
• We configure, test, and maintain API integrations with dealer platforms, aggregators, credit bureaus, valuation services, verification providers, fraud and compliance tools, eContracting and eVault providers, and document generation services.
• We coordinate with print and fulfillment vendors on adverse action notices, contract packages, and borrower correspondence.
• We support the handoff of funded contracts to the loan servicing platform and troubleshoot boarding exceptions.
• We act as the primary technical liaison to defi SOLUTIONS, managing support cases through resolution and escalating when SLAs are at risk.
• We gather project requirements from business users and translate them into functional specifications and configuration designs.
• We own change management end to end, including non-production setup, test case creation, UAT coordination, production deployment, and rollback planning.
• We review platform release notes each cycle, assess operational impact, coordinate regression testing, and communicate updates to impacted teams.
• We maintain documentation of system configuration, business rules, and change history.
• We partner with analytics to validate LOS data supports accurate reporting and maintain dashboards and self-service reports.
• We configure and maintain controls supporting ECOA/Reg B, FCRA, adverse action timing and content, and applicable state retail installment contract requirements.
• We support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory examinations by providing configuration evidence and change history.
• We partner with Credit, Operations, Compliance, Dealer Relations, and IT to align system changes with enterprise strategy and operational goals.
