Opportunity Overview
A critical access hospital in Florence, Oregon is seeking a Board Certified General Surgeon for a 26-week locums assignment.
The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient surgical services in a community hospital setting with approximately 21 beds and an average of 10 patients per day.
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 5 shifts per week
- Scheduled + on-call coverage required
- Approximately 5 shifts per week needed
Clinical Requirements
The ideal candidate should have experience practicing as a General Surgeon in a critical access setting.
Required skills include:
- General Surgery
- Colonoscopy
- Endoscopy
- Patient admissions
- Inpatient and outpatient surgical services
Candidate Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Surgery
- Active Oregon medical license required at time of presentation
- ACLS certification required
- Epic experience required
- Documentation of surgical services representative of the requested privileges within the previous 24 months
- Physicians who completed training within the previous year may provide a training log
