A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an AWS Backend Developer

Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 months, possible conversion
Location: Davidson, NC 28036 Hybrid

We're looking for an AWS Backend Developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves solving complex challenges, and enjoys working with modern AWS technologies.
In this role, you'll help architect and build robust serverless solutions, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to innovative products that make a real impact.

What You'll Be Doing:
Architecting Cloud-Native Solutions

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable backend applications leveraging AWS services.
• Build resilient serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
• Drive performance, reliability, and security across cloud-based applications.

API Development & Integration

• Create and optimize secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Design integrations that enable seamless communication across systems and platforms.

Engineering Excellence

• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code using Python and TypeScript.
• Champion coding best practices, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technology roadmaps.

DevOps & Automation

• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or AWS-native deployment services.
• Streamline software delivery through automation and modern DevOps practices.

Collaboration & Innovation

• Partner with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to deliver exceptional products.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and technical problem-solving sessions.

What We're Looking For:
Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem, particularly:
  • AWS Lambda
  • DynamoDB
  • API Gateway
• Solid expertise in Python and TypeScript development.
• Deep understanding of the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem (Node.js, npm, webpack, etc.).
• Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
• Strong knowledge of source control and CI/CD practices using tools like Git, GitLab, Jenkins, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a passion for quality, automation, and testing.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience building frontend applications using React.
• Exposure to AI/ML-powered applications or Generative AI solutions.
• AWS Certifications such as:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively across frontend and backend teams.

Experience We're Open To:

• Ideally 5-10 years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Exceptional candidates with 2-3 years of strong hands-on experience in AWS serverless development will also be considered.
• Candidates bringing a blend of backend expertise and React frontend experience will have a distinct advantage.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
