Job description

Store And Allocation Planner

KREWE is an independent, high-fashion eyewear brand rooted in the vibrant culture and boundless creativity of our hometown, New Orleans - and now proudly headquartered in both New Orleans and New York City. Since our launch in 2013, KREWE has grown into a dynamic brand celebrated for its distinctive, handcrafted sun and optical frames that reflect a deep commitment to quality, individuality, and design.

In 2022, we opened the doors to our NYC headquarters in the heart of the Meatpacking District, building a second home for the brand that brings New Orleans' culture, creativity, and energy to one of the world's most iconic design capitals. Our presence now spans brick-and-mortar boutiques, mobile retail concepts, and a thriving e-commerce platform - alongside distribution through premier independents and top national retailers. Celebrated for our unique approach to design, KREWE has cultivated a loyal following among style-conscious consumers and influential tastemakers.

As we continue to expand, we're looking for passionate, driven, and innovative individuals to join our talented team. At KREWE our work is fast-paced, collaborative, and deeply mission-driven. Our people are high-performing and ambitious - not just about hitting goals, but about building something that's original, culturally rooted and globally resonant. Every team member at KREWE has the opportunity to own their role and make a lasting impact. If this sounds like the right environment for you we invite you to apply below.

We are currently searching for a Store and Allocation Planner to own KREWE's store allocation and inventory strategy, optimizing product flow, store productivity, and inventory performance across a growing retail fleet.

This role is based in our New Orleans Headquarters 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain store clustering and attribute frameworks that drive differentiated assortment strategies, optimize inventory productivity, and improve gross margin by door.
  • Manage inventory levels by door based on capacity, store attributes, seasonality, and selling curves; proactively identify and act on stock liabilities and sales opportunities across IP before they impact financial performance.
  • Lead in-season inventory management, including replenishment execution, inter-store transfer recommendations, consolidations, and present findings and recommendations to Planning leadership.
  • Lead new store opening inventory strategy, including assortment builds calibrated to door capacity, store profile, and cluster; coordinate with Logistics, Retail Operations, and the DC to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Analyze store and channel sales, weeks-of-supply, sell-through, and stock-to-sales ratios on a weekly basis; synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations and present performance recaps to senior leadership.
  • Own inventory flow and allocation execution across channels, proactively monitoring warehouse and in-transit inventory, identifying receiving or shipping issues, and driving resolution with cross-functional partners to protect allocation plans and store readiness.
  • Balance inventory by channel, store, style, and unit based on localized demand, selling patterns, inventory position, and business priorities.
  • Analyze selling and inventory performance to provide ongoing recommendations for current allocations, replenishment, transfers, and future buys.
  • Build, own, and publish best-seller, hindsight, and allocation performance reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, clearly communicating insights, risks, and recommended actions.
  • Serve as the primary allocation partner to channel teams and Retail Operations, maintaining strong communication, gathering store-level feedback, and incorporating those insights into allocation decisions.
  • Own inventory readiness for new store openings, ensuring product is allocated, delivered, and available on time to support a successful opening.
  • Standardize and continuously improve allocation and replenishment processes, identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions as the business grows.
  • Drive adoption and execution of allocation systems, reporting tools, and analytical capabilities to improve inventory visibility, flow, and decision-making.
  • Support the broader Planning & Merchandising organization through data and systems, improving access to actionable information and helping teams make faster, better-informed decisions.
  • Maintain clear, consistent, and proactive communication across cross-functional teams, escalating risks early and ensuring alignment on inventory priorities and actions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in retail allocation, inventory planning, or merchandise planning
  • Experience within a specialty retail, fashion, accessories, or other product-driven consumer brand strongly preferred; experience supporting a growing store fleet is a plus.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with the ability to move beyond the numbers, understand the story behind the business, and translate insights into clear actions.
  • Deep understanding of allocation, replenishment, inventory flow, and store-level selling, with an ability to balance both style and unit productivity across channels.
  • Highly accountable and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive work forward without waiting for perfect information.
  • Resourceful and solutions-oriented, with a willingness to challenge existing processes and find better, more scalable ways of working as KREWE grows.
  • Collaborative and low ego, with the ability to both lead independently and roll up their sleeves alongside the team when needed.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where priorities can shift and processes are continuing to evolve.
  • Curious about the customer and passionate about the product, with an instinct for connecting store-level insights, selling behavior, and inventory decisions.
  • Confident working with allocation and planning systems, reporting tools, and large data sets, with an interest in using technology to improve how the team works.
  • Brings a grounded, positive approach and is excited by the opportunity to help build and elevate the allocation function at KREWE.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Competitive wage
  • Group health plans: health, vision and dental insurance
  • Welfare benefits: life, ad&d, supplemental voluntary coverage
  • FSA Plan & HSA Program
  • 401(K) Investment Options
  • Adoption Assistance, EAP, Commuter Benefits
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Quarterly Cultural Spend
  • Ongoing Training and Development, an Educational Allowance
  • 10 paid holidays and Paid Time Off accrual
  • KREWE employee quarterly frame allowance (of course!)

Diversity and Inclusion:

KREWE believes in providing an inclusive workplace where all individuals have the opportunity to succeed. We are proud to provide equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants without discrimination or retaliation because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, pregnancy or any other protected characteristic as established by applicable local, state, or federal law.
