Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize high-throughput, scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in core Java, modern Spring Boot architecture, cloud-native AWS ecosystems, and complex business rule engine integrations.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain high-performance Java microservices using Spring Boot and Maven.
Architect and implement cloud-native infrastructure and serverless solutions on AWS (ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, EventBridge).
Implement business rules management systems using Drools for dynamic validation and dynamic decisioning.
Query, design, and manage both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL/DynamoDB) database systems.
Build automated test suites utilizing BDD frameworks (Cucumber) and unit testing tools (Mockito).
Establish and maintain continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and Docker.
Monitor system health, performance, and troubleshoot production events using observability platforms (CloudWatch, Splunk, Honeycomb).
Participate actively in Agile sprint routines (Scrum/Kanban) and collaborate across functional development teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 6+ years of hands-on software development experience with a focus on core Java.
Core Stack: Deep proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, Maven, and RESTful Microservices architecture.
Cloud & AWS: Proven experience with AWS Cloud Engineering, specifically ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and EventBridge.
Databases: Strong hands-on proficiency with both SQL relational databases and NoSQL solutions.
Rules Engine: Experience implementing and managing business logic using Drools.
DevOps & Testing: Solid background setting up CI/CD pipelines via GitHub and Docker; experience with Mockito for unit testing.
Monitoring: Hands-on experience with system observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Honeycomb).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent combination of relevant industry training and experience.
Preferred / Optional Experience
Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
Hands-on implementation of Event-Driven Architectures and enterprise message brokering.
Experience configuring and securing API Gateways for external and internal microservices.
