Licensed Civil Engineer - Site Development & Stormwater
Klepper, Hahn & Hyatt is looking for a Licensed Civil Engineer (PE) to join our growing site engineering and landscape architecture team.

Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements
What You'll Work On
Our projects span residential, commercial, institutional, solar, and green infrastructure developments. You'll have the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle—from initial design and permitting through construction.
What You'll Do
As a Licensed Civil Engineer, you'll take an important role in designing and delivering site development and infrastructure projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Stormwater management design and hydrology calculations
- SWPPP preparation and erosion & sediment control plans
- Site grading, drainage, driveways, sidewalks, and related site improvements
- Potable water and sanitary sewer design
- Construction plans and specifications
- Engineering studies and reports for water, sanitary sewer, and stormwater projects
- SEQR documentation and municipal permitting
- Construction-phase support and occasional field visits
- Reviewing work and mentoring junior engineers and designers
You'll work closely with other engineers, landscape architects, clients, contractors, and municipalities to turn concepts into buildable projects.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience with site development and stormwater management.
- Strong design experience with grading, drainage, water distribution, and sanitary sewer systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and hydrology software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively in both an office and construction environment.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
