Make a Difference Beyond the Office
Senior Helpers Central Iowa is looking for a Caregiver Coordinator to join our growing team! We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, compassionate, and comfortable holding people accountable while still building positive relationships with our caregivers and clients.
This position is a key part of our office team and will help ensure our caregivers have the support, training, and accountability they need to provide excellent care to our clients.
What You'll Do
Caregiver & Client Support

Regularly check in with caregivers and clients to ensure needs are being met.

Build strong relationships with caregivers, clients, and families.

Address concerns, questions, and performance issues promptly.

Follow up on caregiver concerns and make sure issues are resolved.

Help create a positive culture of accountability, communication, and teamwork.
Caregiver Accountability

Conduct bi-monthly site checks with each caregiver to ensure expectations and standards are being met.

Review daily caregiver logs and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and quality.

Follow up on missing, incomplete, or concerning documentation.

Track and address caregiver performance concerns and occurrences.

Manage caregiver late arrivals, call-outs, and attendance concerns in partnership with the Scheduling Coordinator.
Training & Development

Assist with caregiver onboarding and training.

Support ongoing caregiver education and training requirements.

Help identify areas where additional training or coaching may be needed.

Work with caregivers to ensure they understand client care plans and expectations.
Recruiting & Hiring

Work closely with the Recruiter and Director of Operations to help recruit, interview, and hire caregivers.

Assist with maintaining adequate caregiver staffing levels.

Help identify staffing needs and hiring priorities.
Team Collaboration

Work closely with the Scheduling Coordinator and office leadership.

Communicate staffing, attendance, performance, and caregiver concerns to the appropriate team members.

Help maintain smooth communication between caregivers, clients, families, and the office.

Assist with other office and operational needs as they arise.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in home care, healthcare, senior care, caregiving or a related field.

Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.

Is comfortable having difficult conversations and holding caregivers accountable.

Has strong communication and people skills.

Is dependable and follows through.

Can work independently while also being a strong team player.

Is comfortable using technology and electronic documentation systems.

Has a compassionate, professional approach when working with seniors and their families.

Compensation & Schedule
$45,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
1-hour lunch
This position will have very limited on-call responsibilities, with occasional after-hours support as needed.
