Test Engineer

We have an outstanding Contract position for a Test Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Littleton, CO surrounding area. Pay Rate: $95.00 Hourly **US Citizenship is required.** **Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.** Job Responsibilities: Designs major components or major portions of a functional system or technically advanced prototype, promotional or specific products. Develops or improves products and facilitates manufacturing operations. Develops basic data and makes preliminary layout sketches and notes necessary to present design proposal. Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture availability of materials and equipment, interchangeability replace ability strength-weight efficiency and contractual specification requirements and cost. Coordinates with other organizations affected by design development. Makes layouts of assemblies and details parts of devices, mechanisms, structures and products. Checks completed layouts and drawings for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Identifies design errors, omissions and other deficiencies and recommends revisions and/or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the Program. Mentor Junior engineers; interface extensively with out customers , as well as senior leadership. Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements. Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending. Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems. Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost-effective and low-risk solutions. Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers. Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure. Basic Hiring Criteria: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. Hardware development experience. Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems. Experience with interconnect design. Experience in one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, Pspice (PLM Systems). Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement). Issue Tracking experience. Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware 3+ years of professional experience for this role. Desired Qualifications: Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrate test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent. Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP). Experience working with RF. Demonstrated an ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in the development of tech products. Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation. Experience troubleshooting system-level issues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice. Benefits offered vary by contract.
