Overview

ABM is hiring an Aerial Lift Technician- Aerospace Manufacturing

Supports cleaning operations in a controlled environment for a premier aerospace manufacturing facility. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in construction, industrial maintenance, cleanroom, commercial roofing, warehouse operations, manufacturing, facility services, or other skilled trades.

In this role, you will operate aerial lift equipment and perform high-access cleaning and facility support work on overhead structures, mechanical systems, and production areas. We are looking for reliable team members who are comfortable working at heights, committed to safety, and experienced in industrial or construction environments.

No aerospace experience is required. We welcome candidates from construction, roofing, maintenance, manufacturing, warehouse, and general labor backgrounds. ABM provides training, certification support, and opportunities to develop specialized industrial skills.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

The pay listed is the hourly range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, and market factors.

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Evening Shift 3:00PM-1:00AM
  • Tuesday through Saturday- subject to change based on business needs
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project schedules and facility needs

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other aerial work platforms to access work areas up to 50 feet.
  • Perform high-access cleaning and facility support work on structural steel, overhead piping, HVAC systems, ductwork, support beams, and facility infrastructure.
  • Conduct daily inspections of lifts, fall protection equipment, and jobsite tools.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, fall-protection requirements, lockout/tagout procedures, and site safety policies.
  • Maintain safe work zones and strong housekeeping standards.
  • Support facility maintenance projects, shutdown activities, and scheduled preventive maintenance efforts.
  • Work effectively in active manufacturing and industrial environments while minimizing disruption to production operations.
  • Identify and report structural concerns, leaks, damaged equipment, corrosion, and other maintenance-related issues.
  • Complete required work orders, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
  • Assist with emergency cleanup and restoration projects as needed.
  • Safely handle cleaning agents, materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Participate in safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and daily toolbox talks.
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six (6) months or more of experience in construction, industrial cleaning , manufacturing or aerospace, facility maintenance, warehouse, or commercial cleaning environments preferred.
  • Must be Certified in aerial lift operation or willing to become certified on the job (e.g., OSHA-compliant training, OSHA MEWP Certification).
  • Experience working at heights using aerial lifts, scaffolding, ladders, or elevated work platforms preferred.
  • Experience operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) preferred.
  • Strong commitment to safety and hazard awareness.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and written protocols.
  • Ability to complete inspection reports and basic documentation.
  • Aerial lift certification preferred; company-provided training available for qualified candidates.
  • Must pass a background-MVR and drug screening.

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, reach, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in industrial, manufacturing, and construction-like environments.
  • Must wear required PPE, including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, safety harnesses, and other fall-protection equipment.
  • Must comply with all OSHA, customer, and company safety requirements.
