Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Sr. Medical Assistant to support a leading healthcare organization in Sugar Land, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a certified Medical Assistant with strong clinical and administrative skills who is comfortable working in a fast-paced Neurology practice and providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for provider visits and examinations.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs accurately.
- Manage provider inboxes and voicemails, ensuring messages are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with prior authorizations and related documentation.
- Scan and organize medical documents, including documentation related to EMGs.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist providers and clinical staff with daily patient care and workflow.
- Maintain organized examination rooms and ensure necessary supplies are available.
- Provide professional and compassionate service to patients throughout their visit.
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Neurology environment.
- Must successfully complete required drug and nicotine screening.
- This is a non-smoking facility.
