Family Law Junior Associate - Law Clerk

Compensation:

$100,000 - $175,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

If you're a junior attorney or law clerk ready to move past document review and standard research pipelines, this is your opening. We don't hide young talent in back offices. From day one, you'll work side-by-side with seasoned Senior Associates and Certified Family Law Specialists (CFLS), receive direct hands-on mentorship, and quickly build a real foundation in family law. This is a role for someone who is sharp, hungry, and ready to be developed into the kind of attorney who leads.

What You'll Do

• Learn by doing — Co-counsel alongside senior attorneys on complex, high-asset property divisions, custody disputes, and contested hearings; this is mentorship with real stakes, not a simulation

• Build your drafting skills — Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence under close guidance, with a clear progression toward independent work

• Show up for clients — Participate in initial client strategy sessions alongside senior team members, developing the steady, authoritative presence clients depend on during some of the most emotionally charged moments of their lives

• Master the system — Learn and leverage our firm's proven, streamlined workflows so you can practice law efficiently without administrative chaos slowing you down

• Grow into your own caseload — This is a defined growth track; attorneys who perform take on increasing responsibility, client ownership, and leadership opportunity

Law Clerks will focus on legal research, document drafting, and case support under attorney supervision, consistent with California State Bar rules governing law clerk practice.

Qualifications:

Who You Are

• For Junior Associates: Active California State Bar license in good standing; 1–3 years of experience in California family law or civil litigation with a genuine desire to build a career in family law

• For Law Clerks: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an ABA-accredited law school, or Post-Bar; eligible to work under California State Bar law clerk rules

• A sharp legal mind with a real appetite for feedback, mentorship, and long-term growth, not someone looking to coast

• Collaborative and team-oriented; you thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to support the people around you

• Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
