Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager – Public Accounting
Hybrid | Full-Time
An established, full-service public accounting firm in Chester County is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys challenging client work and direct client interaction but is looking for a firm that offers flexibility, competitive compensation, and a sustainable workload—even during busy season.

Responsibilities
Manage and review tax engagements for individuals and business entities
Review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy and compliance
Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and respond confidently to tax and accounting questions
Develop strong client relationships by understanding their businesses, needs, and goals
Research complex tax matters and communicate findings in a clear, practical manner
Identify tax planning opportunities and potential areas of risk
Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior tax professionals
Collaborate with partners and other professionals across the firm's tax, audit, and accounting practices
Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local tax regulations
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience
CPA license or actively working toward CPA licensure
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation
Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong client service and relationship-building skills
Comfortable engaging directly with clients, answering questions, and explaining tax matters in an understandable way
Ability to research tax issues and provide practical solutions
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
Previous experience mentoring or supervising staff preferred
