POSITION SUMMARY: The Admissions person meets with each patient to gather appropriate information pertinent to their health and nature of their visit; and enters corresponding data into EHR. When applicable, this person presents the Vision Today Program to the patient and educates them on their specific focal points. This position is highly patient-focused and requires an individual who demonstrates a personal commitment to identifying patients' needs and continually seeks to provide the highest quality service to all patients.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines): Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing. Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: Staff members are required to meet training expectations within the initial 90-day probationary period. Obtaining certification through an ophthalmology certification program is encouraged. MWEC will provide assistance to all employees eligible for the Employee Career Development Program.
