Title: Manufacturing Technical Writer
Location: On-site in Glendale, AZ
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: Full-time, M-F, 8 am - 5pm.

Description:
Our client is seeking a technical writer to improve existing and develop new technical documentation. The documentation being developed is for use by manufacturing and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation Creation: Develop and improve work instructions, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and job aids.
Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, engineers, and operations gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
Research: Investigate and analyze technical information from various sources to create comprehensive documentation that meets user needs.
Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines.
Basic Project Management: Manage documentation projects, including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, communication, technical writing, engineering, or science fields (preferred). Associate's degree or HS Diploma/GED with significant technical writing experience may be considered.
3+ years of technical writing experience, manufacturing environment experience preferred
Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 a must.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams). PTC Windchill system experience is a plus.
Ability to understand technical processes being documented. Optics knowledge is a plus.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in all documentation produced.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, adapting to changing project requirements and deadlines.
