Job Overview
We are seeking a Chemist / QC Chemist to support quality control testing for nutritional supplements, bulk health ingredients, and pharmaceutical-grade products in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV-Vis, wet chemistry, and laboratory documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Perform qualitative and quantitative testing of raw materials, in-process blends, and finished products.
Perform analytical testing using HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
Prepare samples, test solutions, reagents, and chromatographic mobile phases.
Perform raw material intake testing and environmental surface swabbing.
Ensure production batches meet quality specifications and cGMP requirements.
Document test results, calculations, observations, and laboratory activities accurately.
Maintain laboratory records using ELN, LIMS, or laboratory notebooks.
Draft and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and technical reports.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
Support investigations of OOS results and process deviations in collaboration with QA and manufacturing teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
1 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
1+ year of experience with HPLC/UPLC.
Experience with analytical chemistry and laboratory testing.
Experience with HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis instrumentation.
Knowledge of classical wet chemistry techniques including titrations, pH, and viscosity testing.
Understanding of cGMP and GLP laboratory environments.
Experience with LIMS or ELN systems is preferred.
Strong documentation and data integrity practices.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work overtime or weekends based on production schedules and campaign requirements.
