About the Role:

As a CNA at Avir at Corpus Christi, you will work under the supervision of our licensed nurses to provide direct patient care, promote independence, and support the overall well-being of our residents. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our residents, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide basic nursing care, including vital signs monitoring, medication assistance, and wound care
• Assist with transferring residents from one location to another, using proper transfer techniques
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
• Document resident care and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Texas

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or relevant experience preferred

• Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
